How much does a great pool renovation cost?

Do I need to re-mortgage my house for a pool renovation?

When it comes to dealing with a pool that is past being enjoyable, many people struggle to come to terms with what to do. Thoughts of “Is it worth bringing my pool back to like-new condition?” and “Do we use it enough to make a pool restoration worthwhile?” haunt you day after day. Perhaps that’s where you’re at right now…

What are your options? Your first thought might be to dig it out. And fill in the hole with lots of dirt. And put grass on top. And mow it every weekend. You get the picture.

Or you could just put lots of holes in the bottom, fill it in with dirt, put grass on top, and mow it every weekend.

Or you could resurface it, patch up the cracks, put new pool tiling in, new pool coping, new landscaping – whatever’s required so that you’ll actually enjoy looking out at your back yard again. Enjoy the feeling again of coming home after a long week and letting yourself unwind floating gently in the sparkling  warm water.

Which one should you do? That’s totally your choice. It may come down to the dollars, but more than likely it will be about how you really want to use your back yard.
